Write and Refine Two Very Different Proposal Templates
For this project you will be drafting two very different proposal templates that - ideally - you will be able to use in the future to streamline your proposal writing process. One proposal should be very conversational in tone and one should reflect a much more corporate, straightforward approach. Since no two projects or companies are alike, it is important to have multiple wrtiing styles and angles in your arsenal so that you can craft a proposal that appeals to the client in a way they will easily relate to; that is, essentially speaking to them where they are at, and not necessarily in your own preferred style of writing.
The final deliverable will be two proposal templates of at least 4 short paragraphs each that are structured in such a way that they are easily customized and added to for various projects and clients.
Since the variety of projects each student may be potentially submitting a proposal for is tremendous (i.e you may be looking for writing gigs, engineering gigs, government contracts, website design projects, etc.), the topic/focus of this project is open-ended, meaning you can tailor your proposal templates to any industry or project type you like. However, I have attached a document outlining ten different project scenarios to help those students out that are having a hard time deciding on a proposal direction.
